Annaswamy Natarajan - on vacation in California
I live with my wife in Chesterfield, Virginia. I enjoy a liesurely retired life.
Dear Manis:
On this the 60th anniversary of India's Independence, on August 15, 2007, I was taking a liesurely stroll along Pruneridge in Santa Clara, California. I was very much thinking about India, brooding over Amartya Sen's lead article in the Hindu, the PM's speech, actress Urmila M's appearance in Edison etc. I said to myself that I certainly needed to celebrate the occasion with a sumptuous lunch once I got back home from my walk! I wished I was in Chennai or Palakkad or Kumbakonam for a mouth-watering lunch. When I returned home your post caught my eyes!
You satisfied me with a mouthwatering authentic Palakkad brahmin cuisine!
Thanks. I hope I get to visit your restaurant next time I am in Mumbai!!

Hello, I am working on a special India issue of Departures Magazine. We'd like to have Mani's Lunch Home in our Mumbai guide. Can you please send me any hires photos you have of the restaurant and some of your favorite dishes (perhaps the banana leaf thali). I'd love to have all images in by Friday.
Thank you for your time,
Rebecca

I have been coming here Mani’s Lunch Home for last four years. What brings me here is the authentic South Indian food, especially their Sambar Rice. It’s easy on the plate, and not difficult to digest. Mani’s serves good, clean food.
